BTBRT, the Bayside Trailblazer Race Team, is a structured motocross development program based at Trailblazer Park. The team focuses on improving riders through a balanced approach that combines professional on track coaching with purposeful off track development in fitness, knowledge, and race readiness.
The program operates from April through October and includes up to 25 on track training days with professional motocross coaching staff. Riders also take part in up to 25 off track sessions that include physical training, nutritional guidance, mechanical workshops, and video based riding analysis. Optional cross country events are offered to help riders prepare for specific XC competitions and broaden their race experience.
BTBRT is built around development, teamwork, and character. Riders represent Trailblazer Park in a professional manner while contributing to the long term growth of the facility. Any additional funds generated through the team go directly back into improving training infrastructure such as a turn track, community garage space, and future development projects.
The Fee Structure is something we are currently working with the BTB Board and the families of participants. We believe there will be an initiation fee to cover upfront costs and a monthly fee to help cover the track rental.
The team participates in fundraising and sponsorship initiatives including bottle drives and community support. All funds raised will go directly to towards the race team and training facilities .
Registration Will Open on March 6th for the 2026 season
At BTBRT, it is not about winning. It is about who the rider is becoming. The team is not built on race results. Riders are selected based on character, effort, and attitude because these qualities create long term success in sport and in life. Riding skill can be developed. Character is what earns a team spot.
BTBRT riders listen to instruction, try corrections without attitude, ask questions to improve, and want to learn rather than show off. Effort matters more than outcome. Riders are expected to push through difficult drills, keep trying challenging skills, and give consistent effort every lap.
Racing is emotional and team riders learn to manage those emotions. Riders handle disappointment calmly, win with humility, stay respectful when frustrated, and never throw gear, blame others, or act out.
Respect is non negotiable. Riders show respect to coaches, parents, volunteers, officials, other riders, and the track property at all times.
Riders are expected to care for their equipment, be ready when it is time to ride, help when needed, and take ownership of mistakes. This is a team environment where riders encourage each other, support younger riders, celebrate each other’s success, and represent the sport in a positive way.
BTBRT riders enjoy improving. They look forward to practice, focus on building skills, and care more about getting better than beating others.
A rider may not be ready to represent the team if there is ongoing disrespect, frequent complaining, refusal to listen to instruction, or poor sportsmanship. This is not punishment. It simply means more growth is needed before wearing the team jersey.

We will be holding an information meeting on February 9 at 6:00 PM. Location to be announced. Please come out to learn more and help contribute to the development of this team.
